Candidates are required to bring the following equipment on the day of the training

• Company CITB Levy number – Candidates attending Construction related courses should bring their company CITB Levy number with them if applicable.
• A Form of photo ID (Passport, Driving license, Formal ID Cards)

Successful delegates will gain an understanding of current relevant legislation and best practice on a range of ladders and step ladders and be able to carry out a pre-use inspect and most importantly use them safely, in line with current approved methods and manufacturer’s instructions.

This course is aimed at personnel who are or will be responsible for use of Ladders and Step Ladders in the work place. There are no prerequisites required for this course although a working knowledge of ladders is an advantage. Since the safe use of ladders and step ladders requires that delegates consult safety notices and read and thoroughly understand the manufacturer’s instruction manual, English literacy and language comprehension are important requirements for any ladder user. In addition, delegates should be fit and capable of lifting and carrying ladders and step ladders.

This half day course provides up to eight delegates with the information, skills and confidence necessary to use ladders and step ladders legally and safely.
