Exam

What the health and safety awareness exam involves:

• You’ll sit a 30-minute multiple-choice exam
• There are 25 questions to answer: 20 worth 1 mark, 5 worth 2 marks. All questions require 1 answer only.
• The pass mark is of 25 out of 30
• Before you start, you’ll be required to present a valid photographic ID (a passport or UK/EU driving licence)
• Individuals aged 16 to 18 years old will need a parent or guardian to attend the exam check-in process with Pearson VUE.

What does the online HSA eCourse cover?

• The responsibilities you have for your own safety and the safety of others
• How to achieve better, practical standards of safety on site
• How to control typical construction hazards
• Legal requirements and liabilities
• How to work safely at height
• Manual handling
• How to prevent a fire
• Use of work equipment
• Occupational health. 

What are the benefits of learning online?

The interactive online course can be completed in as little as four hours. This could be all in one go or over a period of days or weeks.

• You have up to 12 months to complete it. Exam must be passed before expiry.
• Return to the course as many times as you like, it will remember and track your progress
• Study at your own pace, whenever and wherever you want
• Book the end of course exam when you’re ready (this must be passed before 12 month expiry date). Exam will need to be booked in advance.

Please Note: Only the first exam is offered free of charge. There is a £21 fee if you need to retake your exam (due to not passing or not meeting minimum requirements)
