The IPAF Harness HA course provides the essential knowledge to enable a successful candidate to select, monitor, manage and plan the correct use of Harnesses and lanyards for use in a MEWP and is a prerequisite for the IPAF Harness User training course.
At the end of the course candidates will:
Course Structure
Harness for user HU - Candidates must have successfully completed the IPAF Harness Awareness HA course prior to undertaking the IPAF Harness for users HU 20 minute practical Training.
Training Content Theory
Training Content Practical Assessment of:
Course Practical Assessment Candidates will be asked to perform a pre-use check of a Harness and Lanyard, don and adjust the harness and attach to the correct anchor point of a MEWP, adjusting to achieve effective restraint. This will be observed and assessed by the Instructor and marked as correct or incorrect in the Training Assessment Booklet within the Operator Training Practical section.
This assessment evaluates the candidate’s practical application of the knowledge gained in the Awareness Theory Training and is a prerequisite for the IPAF Harness Inspector training course.
